I’ve interviewed Josh Pyke a few times now, and he’s always a pleasure to talk to. He came into our studios and played a whole bunch of new songs from “Chimney’s Afire” just prior to it’s release. I am particularly fond of artists who put the effort into a strong visual connection on their music, so it was particularly great to talk to Josh about his work with Greedy Hen on The Lighthouse Song’s music video, and a change in direction for the album artwork…

Though english speakers such as myself cannot understand all the lyrics, there’s some kind of instant connection through Rupa’s delivery and voice. One of my favourite interviews has been with Death Cab For Cutie’s Nick Harmer – It was actually my birthday on the day and it set a beautiful tone for the rest of the day. He was a lovely guy – really nice to talk to, and had a lot of in depth stuff to say about the band. I’m always happy to be speaking to people who really breathe music and everything around it!
